A staple of Alaskan landscapes, dotted with rock outcroppings and alpine vegetation and a few clusters of fireweed around the lake itself,  Summit Lake sits at the highest drivable point on the road through Hatcher Pass. Easily accessible July-October, this location sits right next to a parking lot with the standard $5 parking fee (or Chugach Park Pass), but with no bathroom access.
