She is AMA-ZINGGG! I’m so thankful for her to be our wedding photographer! She is so kind! Earlier this year I was scrambling to find someone to do our engagement photos given my fiancé was leaving for work for a few months and just got engaged. Amanda made time for me in her busy schedule to do so. Normally I’m an anxious girly but she made me feel so comfortable and had so many photos from our engagement photos to pick from! Like I mean a work of ART! I can’t say it enough she’s super worth it! She’s easy to work with! She makes me feel super comfortable and confident even though I’m always anxious lol. Since I booked her as my wedding photographer she met up with me to go over the important moments and things I wanted captured for our upcoming wedding. Let me tell you she was super insightful and really listened to me and what I wanted. If you’re booking with a photographer hands down she’s perfect! 10/10 would recommend.

Amanda has a vision that will make your jaw drop when you receive your photos. Her creative eye is phenomenal, and she really did amazingly at capturing genuine/raw emotion during our wedding day. When I look through our photos, it takes me back to how I felt during those moments. And I feel like that is the most important aspect of a photo. I could write an entire essay on how amazing Amanda is, but just believe me when I say Amanda is the BEST photographer you could have. And we are so fortunate that she agreed to work with us on our wedding day and our day after photos. Amanda and James are also hilarious, and such good company. Pictures are forever, even if your memory some day starts to get a little fuzzy. So I think it's worth the investment, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with such delicate moments.

She met with us before the wedding to ensure she understood our vision for our wedding. Amanda is absolutely amazing to work with. She took the time to meet with us, get to know us a little bit, and help us figure out what we may want to do for our engagement photos. When you work with her, you will get artistic shots that are unlike any of the typical stuff you always see from other photographers. I'm OBSESSED with her style. My husband and I planned an elopement to AK. We Skyped with Amanda and James a couple of times and met her in person the day before the wedding. As a wedding planner myself, it means everything to arrive on time, prepared, and ready for the unknown...Amanda was all of that and above. Amanda and James photographed our wedding in December 2016 and it's taken me until now to find the words to express just how amazing the experience was. I've been in LOVE with Amanda's work since I was first exposed to it several years ago. I knew I wanted her to photograph my wedding long before there was even a wedding to photograph. Amanda was a wonder to work with for my boudoir shoot. When I initially reached out to her she was prompt and thorough in responding, and she was more than happy to answer my questions and clarify details as we began planning for the shoot. I told her exactly what kind of focus and shots I wanted, and boy, did she deliver! I had high expectations going into the shoot but when the final results came back I was blown out of the water by her work. She didn't just take my picture; she captured all the details of my personality in the most beautiful, artistic way.

As much as I love the photos, I think perhaps my favorite part of the entire process was doing the photoshoot with her. She was so easy to talk to and made me feel very comfortable, as if I had known her for years! I had a blast and would do another photoshoot with her again in a heartbeat.

I hired Amanda Kolstedt and her husband to capture the moment I got on one knee to propose to my Fiancee Julianna Wild at Fox Island, over at Kenai Fjord National Park. Amanda was a true professional coordinating with me prior to the event and offering advice and guidance along the way. My fiancé and I live in Florida, but we were planning a vacation in Alaska and wanted to do our engagement pictures there so we found Amanda. She was awesome! She was very easy to work with throughout the whole process and was very communicative before we even got to Alaska. Since we didn't know much about Denali National Park, Amanda was very helpful in planning out the shoot and where we should go in the Park. She was very friendly and very easy to get along with so we totally felt comfortable around her. Amanda is the best! We did an engagement session with her where she went out of her way to squeeze us in for our session before we left on a mid-morning flight. Amanda has many talents. She is a great wedding photographer, portrait, and even fashion photographer! She has a great moodiness (and even epic-ness) in her photos that I just adore.
